In July, Christa took a short little jaunt over to the coast for an overnighter as an investigatory trip for the upcoming September Trail clinic to be held at Point Reyes. Accompanied by her Mom, Rhonda and friend Nancy Martin D.V.M. and Nancy's daughter Grace, the foursome saw some pretty incredible sights! They stayed at a luxurious Bed and Breakfast that had a stable for the horses.

In June, Christa attended the three day Al Dunning Reining, Working Cow and Cutting Clinic in Cottonwood, California with her Arabian mare Nekhema. Nekhema outshone even some quarter horses with her extra fast spins! Seems those Arabians can really get around! Nekhema was an expert at herding that cow and was cutting the cows at a stand still on the side lines while other clinicians took their turns. She was so focused on those cows her head was following their every move!

Christa’s theme for her booth was “On the Road to Success!” She brought her new demonstration horse, the paint yearling filly coincidentally named, "On the Road to Success", as well as her Quarter Horse, Starburst and her Arabian, Glory.

'Under Construction' was the theme for Christa's booth at the 2008 Western States Horsexpo. Clients Ellen and sister Kelly stopped by to visit. John Lyons books and DVD's were available for purchase. 'Glory' endorsed the products. Christa gave 'mini clinics' at the booth throughout the event. Many people stopped by with questions or just to pet the pretty horse. A couple from North Dakota stopped by to discuss hosting a clinic in their area. Christa travels for clinics. During January of 2008, Christa attended part one the Josh Lyons Reining Accreditation Program for professional trainers in Arizona. She will be attending part two later this year.

In September of 2007 Christa traveled to John and Josh Lyons ranch for a Professional Trainer's Reining Clinic. The clinic was a week long. Christa excelled at the techniques and was awarded the honorable title of "Velcro Butt" because of her excellent riding seat. No one sticks to a horse quite like her!

In the photo, Christa is on the only Arabian in the group, who outperformed even the quarter horses with his incredibly fast spins described by fellow trainers as "a spinning top".
